About Our Pastor

Pastor Edmund T. Sherrill, the third pastor in Mt. Enon's 87-year history, has faithfully led our congregation for over nineteen years with solid biblical teaching, compassionate leadership, and a heart for community. A U.S. Navy veteran and Board-Certified Chaplain, he holds a Doctor of Ministry and is the author of "Pouring from an Empty Cup: The Silent Struggles of Black Pastors."

Known for his southern warmth and practical wisdom, Dr. Sherrill has preached across the United States and West Africa. As a respected community leader, he partners with civic agencies, educational institutions, and local organizations to address food insecurity, youth mentorship, and neighborhood safety throughout Philadelphia.

Married to Dr. Jacque Y. Curtis, M.D., and father to sons Jalen and Justin, Pastor Sherrill's heart's desire is to please God by serving people, preaching truth, and building bridges that strengthen both church and community.
